U.S. Open Week

Open week is finally here and this should prove to be a very exciting U.S. Open. So many players are playing well. The ones who seem to be at the top of the major leader boards year in and year out seem to have their games in shape - Tiger, Phil, Westwood, Ells. The group that have been in contention in recent years and had some success - Rory, Bubba, Dustin, Zack. Then there's a large group that have had recent runs and have proven they have the game to win - Dufner, Fowler, Kuchar, Donald, Mahan, Bradley. Let's not forget the Euro's who also have proven their steadiness down the stretch - Pulter, Bjorn, Kaymer, Molinari, Oosthuizen. There are so many others I have not mentioned who have a legitimate shot at being on the leader board come Sunday. Then there are the seemingly unknowns who come out of nowhere to show the world they too have a game. Sometimes it's the club pro, or a pro who may have a somewhat undistinguished career or an amateur who grabs the spotlight. It's happened before at a U.S. Open and I dare say there is a good chance it will happen again at this year. Can't wait for the weekend!
